SOUTHEAST (CASPAR COLLINS) BEDROOM
The half-canopy bed, ca. 1879, is from the home of Col. William Oliver Collins, father of Caspar Collins. Notice the early reclining chair, still with its original horsehair padding and leather covering. The chest and desk were hand carved by Elizabeth Richards, mother of Joe Rockhold. Beside the doorway, you can view artwork done by Caspar Collins. This is a representation of the Platte River Bridge.
